YIELD: 2-3 Dozen 

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup of shortening

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of packed brown sugar

1 egg

1/4 cup of water

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups of flour

1 teaspoon of backing soda

1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

3 cups of quick cooking oats

ADD ON's (optional)

Raisins

Chocolate

Nuts

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat your oven at 325Β°. In a large bowl, cream shortening, sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, water, vanilla and set aside.

2. In another bowl combine flour, backing soda, and cinnamon. 

3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix well. 

4. Stir in your add on's.

5. Drop by tablespoons three inches apart onto a ungreased baking sheet (may use parchment paper). Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 10-20 minutes, and enjoy!
